Skincare Direct is an eCommerce retailer specialising in luxury skincare, make-up, and fragrance products. My client approached me with concerns regarding the declining performance of his website and sought my expertise in revitalising the ageing eCommerce platform, as well as addressing the underlying issues impacting his online presence.
Crafting the solution
My primary focus was to reduce the high drop-off rate. To gain deeper insights into the reasons behind the elevated bounce rate, I utilised Google Analytics and conducted a thorough analysis of the data. This revealed that the purchasing process was overly lengthy and convoluted, resulting in user frustration and subsequent drop-off
To overcome this challenge, I implemented a series of improvements to streamline the website's key functionalities. Drawing from my experience and industry-standard design practices, I created an intuitive online shopping environment that allowed users to find and purchase their desired products more efficiently and seamlessly. By optimising the user flow and simplifying the checkout process, I aimed to significantly reduce the drop-off rate and increase conversions.
