Project Overview

OVO is a telco company that focuses on connecting sports fans to view their favourite sports programs through the OVO platform on OVOPlay. My primary role was to modernise the existing UI and improve the UX flows of the website, keeping in mind the restriction on the backend capabilities and creating digital assets wherever it is required by the clients.

Brief

In 2018 OVO wanted to modernise their main site, they had initially used graphic designers to design their web pages however the end result made the site look dated and they felt that it could not compete with their competitors.    

Landing page

OVO landing page has one main goal, to convert people who visited the page and turn them into customers. While the old site seemed to be structured in a way to facilitate purchasing phone plans, its less than refined look made the site look almost spammy, which according to the OVO UX team led to a high bounce rate. With this in mind, I designed a new landing page that had a cleaner interface and that kept true to the company brand identity.

New plan section

In 2019 OVO requested a further update to the landing page. According to OVO’s UX team customers were confused about the different types of plans on offer. To help with this I designed a new section that would separate the planes into their respective categories.  

OVOplay landing page  

OVOplay is a streaming dedicated to showing Aussie homegrown content exclusively to OVO customers. I designed and built a landing page to advertise this app.

Results

The new designs was a game changer for OVO and it opened up a lot of new possibilities for their business.
